Adaptive Golfer Policy
The VSGA is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all players have the opportunity to compete. The VSGA supports, welcomes, and encourages all golfers, regardless of disability diagnosis, to participate in our events. Adaptive golfers will be allowed modifications in accordance with the Rules of Golf:
When appropriate, Rule 25 will be utilized to provide an equitable experience for adaptive golfers. To be eligible for the implementation of Rule 25 within a VSGA event, adaptive golfers must possess and/or obtain a WR4GD pass prior to the event. Adaptive players are required to include a copy of their WR4GD pass to the Competitions Department prior to the event deadline. The inclusion of the player's WR4GD pass will be used as a validation tool to support the adaptive athlete's accommodation request. The VSGA will continue to review and evaluate this policy in accordance with the USGA. For any questions regarding accessibility and accommodations, please contact Stephanie Ferguson (sferguson@vsga.org) or call (804) 378-2300.
