Fleming Fund

The Fleming Fund is dedicated to promoting and growing junior girls golf. Our primary goal is to make golf more accessible for young girls who have a passion for the sport but may face financial barriers. The VSGA works with First Tee chapters across Virginia to offer grants to cover the costs for junior girls ages 12-18 to attend a golf camp.

History of the Fleming Fund

The Fleming Fund was created by the former Women's Division of the Virginia State Golf Association at the time of its integration with the VSGA in January of 2015. The Fund is named in honor of former Women's Division President Barbara Fleming of Virginia Beach, who has devoted decades of service to girls' and women's golf. During her tenure and for many years thereafter, Barbara worked tirelessly to enhance the quantity and quality of golf opportunities for women and girls under the aegis of the VSGA, and she gave generously to assist junior girls with access to golf activities they would not otherwise have been able to enjoy.

 

This Year's Camp

Williamsburg National Golf Club | July 28 - 31, 2024

Junior girls selected through First Tee chapters in Virginia will receive three days of concentrated golf instruction and on-course experience, with lodging and meals included in the amount of the grant.
