About the VIP Card

All refunds must be requested within 30 days of purchase. An unused card from the previous calendar year is ineligible for a refund. There is a maximum 14-day exchange window to switch VIP Card formats (paper to digital OR digital to paper). An unmarked paper booklet must be received by the VSGA before switching to digital or receiving a refund.

All VIP Cards are valid until December 31 of the current calendar year, regardless of purchase date.

Digital VIP Cards are available for use automatically on the MyVSGA app beginning January 1.

Paper VIP Cards ordered in November and early December will begin mailing on or around December 9. Orders received after December 9 are typically mailed within two business days of receipt.

VIP Cards ordered as a gift will be sent to the recipient, not the purchaser.

VIP Card holders are required to present either their VIP Card booklet (paper) or the MyVSGA app (digital) at check-in. Participating clubs will require the appropriate version be presented in order for the VIP rate to be honored. Participating clubs are NOT required to provide VIP pricing if a golfer does not present their paper booklet or digital card via the MyVSGA app.

Each club is asked to provide at least one VIP play within the VSGA’s pricing guidelines (see below). Pricing varies from club to club much like available playing windows.

Pricing Option 1 – Offer a minimum of at least one (1) VIP play within the following guidelines:
January – March  
$30 Monday-Thursday
$35 Friday-Sunday
April – October
$35 Monday-Thursday
$45 Friday-Sunday
November – December
$30 Monday-Thursday
$35 Friday-Sunday

Pricing Option 2 – Offer at least one (1) VIP play at a discounted rate of 30%, or more, off the published daily peak rate** between the months of April and October. For example, the highest peak rate on a given day is $80, then a club could charge up to $56 and meet the VSGA’s pricing criteria. Golfers would not receive 30% off the senior rate because it is already discounted.
**Does not apply to already discounted rates (senior, twilight, etc.).

The VSGA VIP Card is a great gift for the golfer in your life. The VSGA mails all cards directly to the recipient and will provide a gift certificate to the giver upon request.

In order to be a member of the VSGA and participate in VSGA One-Day Events or Championships, golfers must establish a Handicap Index, which the base level VIP Card does not include. Golfers who wish to buy a card AND maintain a Handicap Index should purchase one of the three package options, which all include a Handicap Index. Like the VIP Card, the Handicap Index activates January 1st and expires on December 31st, regardless of purchase date.

Please call the VSGA office (804-378-2300) and the staff will assist you with an upgrade. Adding on the Handicap Index is an additional $34. Bronze, Silver, and Gold package purchasers all receive a Handicap Index as part of their purchase.

If you purchased a Bronze, Silver, or Gold package, your Handicap Index will be activated within 1-2 business days. The Handicap Index will be emailed to the cardholder when activation is complete.

The VSGA charges a fee to replace lost cards. Call the VSGA office (804-378-2300) to process a replacement card order.

The VIP Golf Card is an opt-in program that is available to all VSGA member clubs. It is up to each club to decide whether or not to participate each year.

Gifts vary from year to year and will be sent out in late summer. Examples of previous gifts include a hat, towel, or golf balls.

Yes, 14% of each VIP Card purchase is tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.
