FOREST -- Christopher Newport University won its fourth VSGA Women's Intercollegiate Championship in dominant fashion, posting a 26-stroke victory over the University of Lynchburg to claim the title on Tuesday at London Downs Golf Course. Lynchburg's Lily Rowe (pictured, right) was the individual champion, carding a 12-over 156 over two days to beat CNU's Gabi McGehee by one stroke.

CNU featured four of the top five individual finishers: McGehee (79-78--157), Maddie Cameron (81-77-158), Julia Pelletier (79-79--158), and Taylor Davis (80-80--160).

With birdies in short supply at London Downs, Rowe won the individual title mostly by staying out of trouble. She made her lone birdie on No. 3 in Tuesday's second round, but she finished with 23 pars and avoided the big number for the most part, her only double bogey coming on the final hole on Tuesday.

Southern Virginia finished third at 707, with Sweet Briar taking fourth at 785.
