MIDLOTHIAN — The Virginia State Golf Association and the Middle Atlantic PGA will partner with Championship Golf Network (CGN) for a second straight year to provide live streaming coverage of both the Women’s Open of Virginia and the State Open of Virginia. Both championships will be held at Midlothian’s Independence Golf Club and will be presented live on the CGN YouTube channel, along with CGNPlus.com.
The 4th Women’s Open of Virginia is set June 22-24. The 2026 State Open of Virginia is scheduled for July 17-19. Both championships feature elite amateur and professional talent from around the region and are jointly conducted by the VSGA and MAPGA.
CGN is a premier live-stream production company specializing in collegiate, amateur, and professional golf championships. CGN delivers high-quality broadcasts that enhance exposure for players, events, and sponsors while providing fans with free, accessible coverage worldwide.
“We are grateful to be partnering with CGN to build on our success and provide a professional broadcast of these championships again this year,” said Josh Coates, VSGA Senior Director, Golf Operations and Development. “Live streaming our State Opens has been a goal of ours for a long time as it is a great way to showcase our competitors, host venues, and sponsors to an unlimited audience. We look forward to providing live action over three days later this summer.”
In 2025, the University of Virginia’s Kennedy Swedick won the Women’s Open of Virginia at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, allowing her to hoist the newly created Robbye King Unger Trophy.
Less than a month later, professional Larkin Gross, PGA, rolled to a record-setting victory at the State Open of Virginia at Independence to add his name to the Farmington Cup.
CGN will provide streaming coverage of the third and final round of the Women’s Open in June. In July, CGN will stream the final two rounds of the State Open of Virginia.
“We’re excited to return to Virginia and broadcast the State Opens this year,” said Doug Rios Ceballos, Executive Vice President of CGN. “Working alongside the VSGA and MAPGA, our goal is to produce a high-quality broadcast that showcases the championship atmosphere, highlights the competitors, and expands the reach of these premier events to a global audience.”
The live stream will feature comprehensive tournament coverage, including on-course cameras, player features, interviews, and real-time scoring updates—giving fans, players, coaches, and families the opportunity to follow the championships from anywhere.
