Dates: Tuesday, September 29 and Wednesday, September 30
Format: Open to amateurs and professionals who have reached the age of 50 by the start of the competition. 36 holes of stroke play. If there is a tie atop the leaderboard after 36 holes, a sudden-death playoff will be utilized to determine a champion. The Senior Open of Virginia is conducted jointly by the VSGA and MAPGA.
