Lanto Griffin, past champion of the PGA Tour’s Houston Open and the State Open of Virginia, is partnering with Youth on Course in Virginia in 2021.
Griffin grew up in Virginia and spent a considerable part of his youth playing at The Hill, previously known as Blacksburg Municipal Golf Course. He advanced to the final match of the VSGA Amateur in 2009 and played collegiate golf at Virginia Commonwealth University before turning pro. After a run that included a stint on PGA Tour Latinoamerica and two trips through the Korn Ferry Tour, Griffin’s win at the 2019 Houston Open secured his PGA Tour card for three years.
Griffin benefited from many people in his life who helped him on his journey to securing PGA Tour status, and now he wants to give back. He will pledge $100 for each birdie and $500 for each eagle he makes in the four 2021 major championships (Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and The Open), along with the upcoming Players Championship in March.
To support Lanto on his journey of creating accessible golf opportunities in Virginia through Youth on Course, make a pledge of your own, at any amount.
