CHARLOTTESVILLE —
Eleven players won age-division titles at the 5th Virginia State
Golf Association Junior Golf Circuit Nine-Hole Championship, held Saturday at
Farmington Country Club’s East Course.
The best score of the day came from Yorktown’s Brandon Sipe,
who posted a 2-under-par 30 to win the boys 10-11 flight by one stroke over
Fairfax Station’s Ethan Evans. The best girls score of the day was the
1-over-par 33 posted by Mechanicsville’s Madison Lehr in the 12-13 flight.
Sipe opened his round with a bogey but made birdies on holes
4, 8 and 9 to finish under par.
