ALEXANDRIA -- Japan's Kaori Shimura posted a 3-over-par 75 to earn medalist honors at a U.S. Senior Women's Open qualifier held Wednesday at Belle Haven Country Club.
Three others earned spots into the championship, which will be held May 16-19 at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.
Professional Joy Bonhurst (Kensington, Md.) shot 77, followed by Philadelphia amateur Lisa McGill, who posted a 78. Phoenix professional Anne Marie Palli returned 79 to nab the final spot.
Japan's Eriko Gejo will be the site's first alternate after shooting 80. Belle Haven member Mimi Hoffman is the second alternate after returning 82.
