The VSGA provides services to 300 member clubs across the Commonwealth. Our club membership comprises public, private, semi-private, military, and resort facilities as well as affiliate clubs. There is a club for everyone in Virginia!

Handicap Management

The Golf Handicap & Information Network® (GHIN) is a service offered by the USGA to golf associations worldwide. GHIN is one of the largest handicap management tools in the world, serving more than 2 million golfers and 15,000 golf clubs.

Club Authorization

For a club to be authorized, it must comply with several items to help ensure they are properly following the Rules of Handicapping. Clubs that have not completed the authorization requirements will not be permitted to use the Rules of Handicapping and the Handicap Index® of its members will be set to NH (No Handicap).

Tournament Management

Golf Genius TM powers tournament management at thousands of clubs and golf associations all over the world. VSGA member clubs receive access to TM Club with the their membership, but can also upgrade to TM Premium to unlock additional features.

Course Rating, Measuring & Marking

The VSGA provides course rating services, including tee-to-green measurements, to its member clubs at no charge. Additional on-course services offered include sprinkler head measurement, course marking guidance, and the purchase of VSGA brass yardage marker plates.
