Golfers can post scores, calculate a Course Handicap™, search and redeem VIP offers and follow association news.
The VSGA conducts numerous championships, tournaments, and qualifiers at member clubs from April through November for men, women and juniors of all ages. We also administer many qualifying events in Virginia for USGA championships.
For a nominal fee, VSGA members of all skill levels have the opportunity to compete for prizes in gross and net competitions. The VSGA also holds several “Ladies Play Day” events throughout the year.
VSGA members receive complimentary subscriptions to Virginia Golfer, the official publication of the VSGA, and Golf Digest magazines. Virginia Golfer is published six times a year and is written for the Virginia golfer and focuses on events, news, people and issues important to the Virginia golf community.

Once a golfer joins a club and is added to its handicap roster, they will receive their GHIN number via email.
VSGA memberships are valid for the current calendar year. Memberships activate on January 1st and expire on December 31st, with the exception of the USGA/VSGA GC which is valid for 365 days after signing up.
No, if your membership expires, your GHIN number and scoring record is simply made inactive until you choose to reactivate it at the same club or a new one.
Sometimes when a golfer joins a new club, they are inadvertently assigned a new GHIN number instead of having their existing one transferred. In that case, contact the VSGA office and we will merge the records.
