SUFFOLK -- Lauren Greenlief and Keith Decker posted a 7-under-par round of 65 to win the 8th VSGA Mixed Four-Ball Tournament on Monday at Cedar Point Country Club. Greenlief and Decker finished the day tied with Andrea Miller and Harry Thomas but won on a match of cards, as Greenlief/Decker shot 32 on the back nine, and Miller/Thomas shot 33.
The Greenlief/Decker side rallied late for the victory. Decker birdied the par-5 17th and Greenlief birdied the par-4 18th, enabling the side to catch Miller/Thomas, who made pars on the final two holes.
Faith Garcia and Jack Burbee shot a 6-under 66 to finish in third. Mallory Hetzel and Adam Horton, and Alexandra Austin and Danny Derisio each posted 5-under rounds of 67 to tie for fourth.
Austin and Derisio won the net competition with a score of 8-under 64, two shots better than Garcia/Burbee, which returned a net 6-under 66.
