THE SQUADS: Matchup of a team of players from the Virginia State Golf Association and West Virginia Golf Association against a team of players from the Carolinas Golf Association (North and South Carolina).
THE SERIES: Carolinas leads 39-24. Carolinas won last year’s matchup 84-60 at River Landing GC in Wallace, N.C. Virginias’ last win in the series came in 2009 at Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain in Snowshoe, W. Va.
TEAM COMPOSITION: Teams consist of 14 regular players and 10 senior players
FORMAT:
Monday, July 17: Four-Ball matches
Tuesday, July 18: Pinehurst Modified Alternate Shot matches
Wednesday, July 19: Singles matches
SCORING: Points are awarded for the front nine, back nine and overall match. Three points are available in each match.
